# Bring your current website with you

Type its address and press Copy. Every page comes across on its own, at the address it had, looking as it does now — and working on a phone.

## How copying works

One press, and a look before you sign up.

### 1. Type the address

That is the whole of it. There is nothing to tick and nothing to confirm: the pages are found and then copied, every one of them.

### 2. Every page comes across

Each one keeps the address it had, so old links and search results still find it — /services/carpet.html becomes /services/carpet.

### 3. Edit from there

The site opens in the editor when the last page lands. Forms send to your inbox; pictures come along.

## Questions people ask

### Can I see it before I sign up?

Yes. Type the address on /clone and your front page is shown copied, with nothing saved anywhere. Keeping it needs an account, because a saved copy lives in a site’s own storage — and the moment you have one, the whole website copies itself.

### Will it look the same?

That is the point of it. A copied page keeps its own layout, fonts, colours and pictures — its stylesheet comes across with it — rather than being rebuilt from a template.

### What if my website does not work on phones?

The copy will. A page that was only ever laid out for a desktop window is fitted to a phone as it is copied. Nothing hangs off the side, pictures shrink to the screen, and columns stack. A page that already had a phone layout keeps its own.

### Is there a limit?

A site has a storage allowance, and a copy counts against it. The copier says how much a site has used as it goes.
