## What Webflow is

Webflow is a visual web design tool used by designers and agencies. Its Designer gives you control as fine as hand-written web code — boxes, spacing, layers, animations — and a place to hold repeating content such as case studies. Clients get a simpler editor for changing text. It produces very good sites, and it expects the person building them to think like a designer.

## What AWD CMS is

A website whose editor is the live page. You click the words and type; you drag sections; you add pages from the menu. A guide builds the first version one section at a time, and an AI copilot drafts and rewrites on the page. Every page checks itself for search and for readers with a disability, and says what to fix. It is built for the person who has to keep the site true, on whatever device they are holding.

## When Webflow is the better choice

When a designer is building the site and control over the layout matters, Webflow is the professional tool, and it is excellent at that. Think of an agency site, a product site with custom animation, or a design that must match a brand guide exactly.

## When AWD CMS is

When the person who has to keep the site true is the owner, not a designer, and the hand-off editor is not enough. AWD gives them the whole site to change, on the page, without the Designer standing behind it.
