Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover your use of AWD CMS, which is run by Armstrong Web Development ("we", "our" or "us"). By using AWD CMS, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. AWD CMS is still being built

AWD CMS is a development-stage project. It is here to be tried out, tested and worked on, and nothing more. We do not guarantee:

  • That the service will be available or reliable
  • That your work will be kept safe, or fully backed up
  • That features are finished, or will keep working the same way
  • That the service will still be here in the long run

AWD CMS may change a lot, stop working for a while, or be shut down at any time, without warning.

2. Other services we use

AWD CMS uses and depends on services run by other companies, including Microsoft Clarity (which records how people use AWD CMS), Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), and Google Fonts (the fonts). When you use AWD CMS, their terms and privacy policies apply to you too. We are not responsible for how those services run, whether they are available, or what they do with data.

3. Accounts

Signing up

You must give accurate, complete details when you create an account. Keeping your sign-in details private is up to you.

Looking after your account

Everything done through your account is your responsibility. If you think somebody else has got into it, email us straight away at armstrongwebdev@gmail.com.

Closing accounts

We can suspend or close any account at any time, with or without a reason — and especially where these Terms are broken or somebody behaves abusively.

4. What you must not do

You agree not to:

  • Use AWD CMS for any illegal purpose, or in a way that breaks any law
  • Upload malicious code, malware, or harmful content
  • Try to break our security, get at other people’s data, or disrupt the service
  • Use AWD CMS to host content that is abusive, harassing or harmful
  • Scrape, crawl, or work through AWD CMS in bulk without our permission

5. Who owns what

What you create with AWD CMS stays yours. You give us permission to store and show your content, only so that we can run the service for you. The AWD CMS software, design and branding belong to Armstrong Web Development.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

AWD CMS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Because this is a development project, there may be bugs and security holes in it. You take that risk on when you use it.

7. Limitation of liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL ARMSTRONG WEB DEVELOPMENT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES arising out of or related to your use of AWD CMS, including but not limited to losing your work, the service being unavailable, or somebody else getting into your account.

8. Information we collect

By using AWD CMS you agree to us collecting and using information as set out in our Privacy Policy — including the record Microsoft Clarity keeps of how people use AWD CMS, and the standard record our servers keep of each visit.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updates take effect as soon as they appear here. If you keep using AWD CMS after that, you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts.
