Built one question at a time, on the real page
No form. You land in the editor looking at your own home page. The guide asks for the two things a site cannot exist without, with the cursor already in the right line.
The first four steps
The home page takes eight in all, and every page after it takes five.
1. Your name
Typed into the menu, where it will live.
2. Your banner
The headline and the line under it, in the page, in the font they will be.
3. A background
A few seconds of the real place, a picture, a ready-made loop, or a free photo found from the card.
4. The look
Colours chosen against your own words on your own page, not against a swatch.
Then the check
Once nothing is left to offer, the page is held against a written standard — the same rules the editor checks, written down in plain words. Anything your page is still short of is listed on one card, with the tap that puts it right beside each line. “Leave it for now” is a real answer, and it is remembered.
Then the other pages: About and Contact are needed; Services, Reviews and Questions are offered with a line on why. When every page has been answered, the finishing card says “Your website is built” — or “Nearly there”, with what is still short.
