Protect a page with a password, or keep it for members

Some pages are for everybody. Some are for people with the password, or for people who are signed in.

1. Open the page’s settings

In the editor, the toolbar shows who can see the page. Press it to change.

2. Choose who can see it

Anyone; only people with the password; or only members — people signed in to your site. A protected page stays out of the menu and the footer for everyone else.

3. Set the password, if you chose one

Type it once. Visitors who open the page are asked for it. A wrong guess gets the same answer as a page that does not exist, so nobody can even tell the page is there.

4. Keep a page as a draft

A page marked as a draft is not shown to anybody but you, whatever else is set — useful while a page is half written.
